Pranajit unveils foundation stone for Mata Tripura Sundari Open University at Udaipur

Agartala, 2nd March 2025:  A ground-breaking and foundation stone-laying ceremony for Mata Tripura Sundari Open University was organized on Sunday in the Chandrapur area of Udaipur. The university is set to be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

The event saw Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy in attendance as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, MLA Abhishek Debroy, Rishiraj Maharaj, and Hemant Goyal, chairman of the sponsoring body of the university, along with many other eminent personalities.

During the ceremony, Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy expressed his optimism about the project’s potential impact. “This project will open a new horizon in the field of education. Education will be more accessible and expanded through open universities, creating new opportunities for the students of the state,” he said.

The dignitaries present emphasized the significance of the event for the state’s education sector.

Addressing the gathering, Pranajit Singha Roy added, “I feel a special pride and joy in attending the foundation stone laying ceremony of Mata Tripura Sundari University today at Chandrapur Colony under the sacred land ‘Matabari’ assembly constituency. The presence of Minister Shukla Charan Noatia and MLA Abhishek Debroy along with His Holiness Rishiraj Maharaj Ji and the Chairman of the Sponsoring Body of the University Hemant Goyal and many other eminent personalities in this grand event has further enhanced the importance and grandeur of the event. I would like to specially thank MLA Abhishek Debroy, who has played a vital role in the successful implementation of this great initiative. This initiative will open a new horizon in the field of education. In particular, education will be more accessible and well-expanded through open universities, which will open the doors of innumerable new opportunities for the students of the state in the future.”
