Agartala, 16th May 2025: “My School, My Pride” Programme, an innovative initiative by the Directorate of Elementary Education ends today with grand celebration, in all schools of the State with enthusiastic participation of Students, Teachers and Parents as well. In the last day of the programme prizes and certificates have been distributed among the students between pre-primary to class-VIII, who have participated in different activities during the entire period of “My school, My pride” programme. Apart from this Parent-Teacher meeting and Tithi Bhojan has also been arranged with mass involvement of the parents.
The “My school, My pride” programme was a brain child of Director, School Education, N.C. Sharma to develop students attraction towards the school and to provide a joyful learning environment to them. Emphasizing on play-based learning techniques, strengthening of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Skills, proper implementation of NIPUN Tripura Mission, involvement of Parents with students learning and to identify special features of schools was the key target of the programme.
Aiming proper implementation and active participation of “My school, My pride” programme in all Junior Basic, Senior Basic, High and Higher Secondary Schools of the state, Director, School Education along with OSDs, District Education Officers, Inspector of Schools, BRC Coordinators, CRC Coordinators, BRPs and CRPs, visited3270no. of schools and also taken disciplinary action where negligence on duty was evident.
During the last one month of “My school, My pride” programme, Reading with comprehension, word making, sentence making, article writing, puppetry on educational contents, quiz, story-telling, numerical games, simulation activity of marketing of goods to learn addition-subtraction practically, development of educational tools by students, health awareness activities like knowing about healthy and junk foods, painting on school based and surrounding themes and many more like innovative activities have been arranged. All the activities have been planned maintaining proximity with the goal of “My school, My pride” programme, to grow students interest towards the school and a sense of pride for their own school.
