Agartala: May 18. A private company called ‘Sai Computer’ has once again been accused of issuing fraudulent electricity bills to a poor family living in Kailashahar.

Sai Computer has been responsible for providing electricity services in Kailashahar for the past three years. However, the quality of service has deteriorated significantly since the company took over.

A resident named Shimul Urang, residing in Kalachhra village of Ward No. 4 in Deorachhra ADC Village, has been consistently paying electricity bills ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 500 each month for the past three and a half years.

But Shimul Urang was shocked when the electricity bill for the month of April came over Rs 10, 000.

After receiving such a huge electricity bill, poor Shimul Urang, came to the office of Sai Computer in Kailashahar and asked the officials of the company to know how he got such a huge electricity bill. But Shimul has alleged that when he went to the office, the officials have behaved roughly with him.

In desperation, the destitute Shimul Urang complained in writing with the Kailasahar Police Station, but the Kailasahar Police Station authorities did not accept the complaint of Shimul Urang. Helpless Shimul Urang approached the media workers of Kailashahar and told this in detail.

Shimul Urang made a more serious complaint against Sai Computer Company saying that Sai Computer Company had paid an electricity bill of six thousand rupees from Shimul Urang even a year ago. Later, Sai Computer Company collected twenty thousand rupees from Shimul Urang on various pretexts.

This is not for the first time but such allegations have been coming since private companies have taken over the charge of power in parts of Tripura.
