Agartala, October 30, 2023: Former minister and prominent Congress leader, Sunil Chandra Das, passed away at the age of 78 in his home in Kumarghat due to natural causes associated with old age.
The news of his passing has reverberated through the political landscape, with the state Congress expressing deep sorrow at the loss of the former minister. Condolences have poured in for the sons and daughters of the late Sunil Chandra Das, who was remembered as a dedicated worker of the Pradesh Congress. Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha has conveyed his profound sorrow at the demise of former state minister Sunil Chandra Das. In a heartfelt condolence message, the Chief Minister reflected on Sunil Chandra Das’s contributions, stating, “Sunil Chandra Das, who served as a member of the State Assembly representing Fatikrai Assembly Constituency and as a Minister of the State Government, has left a void that is deeply felt.”
