Agartala, 11th June 2025 :   Pecharthal police have once again intercepted an illegal cattle transportation operation, arresting two individuals and seizing a vehicle loaded with indigenous cows. The incident occurred earlier today when authorities stopped a car at a police checkpoint while it was en route from Dharmanagar to Fatikroy.

According to police sources, the vehicle bearing registration number TR02K-1934 was carrying ten cows without valid documentation. The car was reportedly overloaded, prompting officials to seize it under legal provisions. The arrested individuals have been identified as driver Shahin Islam and co-driver Shamsul Islam, both residents of the Fatikroy area.

Following the arrests, police registered a case and transferred the confiscated cattle to Dharmanagar Gurukshanath Gau-Shala for shelter and further proceedings. Investigations are underway to determine the extent of the smuggling operation and any possible links to larger networks.
