Agartala, May 18, 2023: The premises of the GBP hospital is lagging behind in terms of security during night as a good number of anti-social elements are roaming around GB Market area after consuming drugs and alcohol. Although there is a GB police outpost adjacent to hospital premises, but there is no strict surveillance.

On Wednesday night, two young men named Montap and Ruby Debbarma sat at the ticket counter of the hospital and started consuming drugs. Private security personnel suspected after seeing them. When questioned by their security personnel, they said they would go to work naturally.

After following them, the security personnel found them walking around with large quantities of drugs in their pockets to sell. Then the security personnel booked them and handed them over to the police. A large quantity of drugs was recovered from the two arrested youths, resident of Twidu.

According to sources, a gang is involved with them. If the police want, a fair investigation can bring out the truth of the whole gang and many more youths will come into the net. But because of them, patients and their families are afraid to travel to the hospital and its premises at night. Even, incidents of open daytime hospital robberies are on the rise. The relatives of the patients who came to the hospital believe that drug dealers are involved.
