Agartala, 24th September 2025 : In line with the nationwide initiative, all schools across Tripura today observed the “One Day, One Hour, Together” program under the Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) Abhiyan-2025. At exactly 12 noon, students, teachers, staff, and School Management Committee (SMC) members took part in an intensive one-hour cleanliness drive in their respective campuses and surroundings.
This year’s Swachhta Hi Seva campaign is being held with the central theme “Swachhotsav”, as per guidelines from the Ministry of Education. The campaign, which began on September 17, will continue until October 2, culminating on Swachh Bharat Diwas to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
According to the School Education Department, nearly five lakh students and teachers from schools across the state actively participated in today’s program, setting a new precedent for collective participation in cleanliness initiatives.
District education officers reported an atmosphere of remarkable enthusiasm and dedication in every school. Students took up the cleanliness drive with energy and commitment, spreading messages of health, discipline, and social responsibility.
Officials said the programme not only made school premises cleaner and more vibrant but also reinforced the message that cleanliness is a shared responsibility. The successful participation has further strengthened Tripura’s resolve towards contributing to a clean, green, and healthy India.
